Leslie Boni

Leslie Boni is a finance professor, department chair, and director of the CFP Board
Registered Program at the California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) College
of Business. She has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University, an
MBA from the University of St. Thomas (Houston), and a PhD in Business (Finance)
from Colorado University at Boulder. She has worked for Chevron as a research
engineer, analyst, and risk manager; as a visiting economist at the U.S. Securities and
Exchange Commission; as a managing director at an algorithmic stock trading firm; and as faculty at California State University Northridge and University of New Mexico. Her research publications are in finance, trading execution mechanisms, analysts and conflicts of interest, and short selling.
