U.S. Peace Ambassadors

The Peace Ambassador Program teaches and develops skills in leadership, emotional resiliency, critical thinking, teamwork, public speaking, and community action among teenagers (ages 15-18) in Santa Fe, Albuquerque and Northern New Mexico. The program culminates with a community project designed and led by Peace Ambassadors to create action with their new skills and amplify the voices of their Israeli and Palestinian peers overseas.

The goal of Peace Ambassadors is to empower young women (including cis and trans women) ages 15-18 in Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico to be leaders.​​

PARTICIPANT CRITERIA
Â
We welcome teenagers ages 15-18 who have an identity aligned with womanhood including cisgender, non-binary, and trans-feminine.

Must live in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, or Northern New Mexico to apply.

PROGRAM DETAILS

Workshops, trainings, and meetings will take place in Santa Fe starting in fall of 2026 on Saturday afternoons and select Wednesday evenings. Peace Ambassadors will have the opportunity to engage in online and in-person international collaborations with peers from Israel and Palestine.

Collaborate on community-based social justice projects

Interact with peers from Palestine and Israel
COST

The Peace Ambassador Program fee is $100. Scholarships are available.

The Peace Ambassadors interviewed young women in the Gaza Girls program about their lives and wrote these compelling stories based off of Orion’s “This I Believe” essay series.
